Also, this is the south, we don't believe in euthanasia, we let the poor beloved suckers hang on for eternity even if we only listen to Billy Ray Cyrus and Wham. :)

Thaks for the feedback on the title, I like it. My father unwittingly turned me on to Simon and Garfunkel when they first became popular: not so much for the music, as for the lyrics. One thing the 60s had that we have not seen before or since is music with lyrics that can change people in a deep and meaningful way. Yes, there was bubblegum and top 40 back then also, but we also had songs like "As Tears Go By", Elanor Rigby", "Ballad of a Thin Man", and, of course, "The Sounds Of Silence".
I really think that if you were alive then and can't think of one song with lyrics from then that still moves you today, you need to elect a representative who will fight for euthanasia.

BTW: really a clever title for the blog as a whole, Jean.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08882580617351076507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979902609480450800.post-5030323523350011322010-10-26T23:11:47.034-04:002010-10-26T23:11:47.034-04:00Thank you guys both.
